Product development / Starting points
From a clear direction
Mocario helps brands turn a design, a reference, or an existing style into a defined moccasin slipper project--coordinated from first review through sample confirmation and production readiness.
Direction before execution.
A practical path for indoor footwear development.
01 -- Product development
Three valid ways to begin.
The starting point determines what must be clarified, what can be assessed, and which decisions need to be confirmed before production.
Existing customer design
Your design is already defined.
You provide the design direction and brand requirements. The project focuses on translating them into production-ready details without replacing your creative ownership.
Useful inputs: drawings, specifications, materials, colors, size requirements, branding, packaging and target market.
Reference sample / image
The direction begins with a reference.
A physical sample, image or concept can become the basis for discussion. The final structure, materials, fit and performance requirements must still be defined and confirmed.
Useful inputs: reference photos or samples, intended use, preferred materials, target customer, size range, colors and commercial requirements.
Adaptation of an existing style
A known form, adjusted for your range.
An existing style or development starting point can be adapted through agreed changes to materials, colors, branding, fit, construction, footbed, outsole or packaging.
Useful inputs: the style to adapt, exact change list, brand assets, intended market, size requirements and any required validation.
02 -- Customization
Specificity makes the project workable.
Customization is not limited to a logo or color. Each requested change is reviewed as part of the product system, including its effect on fit, materials, construction, cost, MOQ and production feasibility.
Materials
Leather, suede, nubuck, faux suede, textile, knit, felt or faux fur, with relevant thickness, weight, hand feel and color requirements.
Fit and comfort
Target foot length, internal length, forefoot and instep considerations, heel fit, footbed thickness, lining compression and sock-wearing conditions.
Construction
Upper, lining, footbed, outsole, stitching, bonding, trims and other structural decisions assessed against intended indoor use.
Brand application
Logo placement, labels, packaging and private-label requirements defined as part of the frozen project information.
Market and validation needs
Target market, labeling, customer requirements, testing, third-party inspection and documentation are identified before commercial confirmation.
03 -- Sampling
A sample is a decision instrument.
Mocario coordinates the development sample with the factory, checks the physical result first, and keeps the project moving toward written confirmation.
Paid development sample
Sampling begins after the customer accepts the development conditions and pays the non-refundable sample fee, together with courier costs or a courier account arrangement.
Physical review
Mocario checks the sample against the available brief before sharing it for customer review. Factory deviations from confirmed requirements are addressed by the supply side; customer changes are reassessed.
Formal quotation follows the sample.
The first formal quotation is prepared after the development sample is completed and the factory has assessed the actual product. MOQ, price and production conditions remain project-specific.
04 -- Process
Five gates keep the work aligned.
The project advances through evidence and written decisions, not assumptions.
Qualification
Mocario verifies the company, project scope, product category, channel and available direction before formal development.
Gate: suitable project
Technical review
The factory evaluates materials, structure, fit considerations, development conditions and technical risks.
Gate: feasible direction
Sample review
The physical sample is reviewed, feedback is consolidated, and changes are either corrected, reassessed or developed again.
Gate: sample decision
Freeze and quote
After formal sample confirmation, materials, colors, structure, sizing, branding, packaging and requirements are frozen for commercial review.
Gate: written confirmation
PPS and production
After PO, PI confirmation and the required first payment, the factory makes the PPS. Bulk purchasing and production follow PPS approval.
Gate: PPS approval
05 -- Responsibilities

06 -- Deliverables
A record of what was decided.
The exact deliverables depend on the project scope. The working record is built around the product, the approved sample and the conditions required to proceed.
Defined brief
A consolidated record of the product intention, references, materials, structure, use and commercial requirements.
Physical sample
A factory-made development sample reviewed against the available requirements and customer feedback.
Formal quotation
A project-specific quotation prepared after the development sample is completed and assessed.
Frozen confirmation
Confirmed information covering materials, color, structure, sizing, branding, packaging, testing and inspection requirements where applicable.
Contact / Begin with clarity
Bring the direction.
Tell us whether you are bringing an existing design, a reference sample or image, or an existing style to adapt. Include the information already available about product, quantity, market and timing so the project can be assessed properly.
