01 — Required inputs
Three inputs make the reference discussable.
Clear inputs separate visible design cues from assumptions that must be tested during development.
Reference material
Send front, side, heel and outsole views when available. A physical sample, sketch or marked-up image can clarify proportions and construction.
Product intention
Define the customer, intended use, climate, comfort level, size range and the details that must remain recognizable.
Project conditions
Share quantity, launch timing, target market, testing needs, packaging scope and relevant commercial limits.
02 — Feasibility boundary
A reference shows direction—not a complete specification.
The reference can indicate
- Overall silhouette and toe character
- Apron shape and visible seam direction
- Collar height and opening proportion
- General material and color direction
The reference cannot confirm
- Leather grade, thickness or stretch
- Last, internal volume and actual fit
- Footbed structure or outsole compound
- Production cost, MOQ or test result
Mocario does not treat a photograph as a finished technical file or issue a formal quotation from appearance alone. Open specifications must be reviewed, sampled and approved.
03 — Development definition
Convert appearance into decisions a factory can evaluate.
The working brief records what is confirmed, what remains open and what requires a physical sample before approval.
- 01 Material direction Upper, lining, footbed and trim options are reviewed for hand feel, thickness, color behavior and intended use.
- 02 Structure direction Apron construction, collar, heel shape, internal reinforcement and stitching method are translated into sample instructions.
- 03 Outsole direction Suitable existing outsole options are checked against fit, flexibility, grip, profile and target use. New custom molds are not assumed.
- 04 Control direction Measurement points, visible standards, test needs and approval references are identified before production discussions advance.
04 — Sample and quotation
The sample creates the first measurable product reference.
Fit, feel, construction and cost become more reliable after the proposed specifications are built and reviewed physically.
Paid development sample
Sampling begins after project review and advance payment of the non-refundable sample fee. Courier cost is handled separately.
Correction and approval
The sample is checked against the confirmed brief. Approved materials, construction, measurements, colors, branding and packaging form the next reference set.
Formal quotation
The first formal quotation follows sample development and factory review of the actual product inputs. It is not calculated from the reference image alone.
